It’s time to find the leadership our community deserves—leadership that delivers real results, here where it matters most.

"I’ve seen America’s comeback, but not in our own backyard. While other regions grow and thrive, we’re told to be patient. We’ve waited long enough.

We have the talent, the resources, and the heart to become a world-class region.  One where every family has a real shot at success. And the truth is, if the political class had the answers, we’d already be there.

I am looking for the kind of leadership our community deserves.  Leadership that builds, serves, and solves real-world problems. And if we can’t find it, maybe it’s time to step forward and be it."

From Service to Leadership: A Commitment to Your Future

Darren Moore grew up in a working-class community where hard work, perseverance, and service were more than values—they were a way of life.

He carried those principles from small-town Ohio to leadership roles in infrastructure, national security, and economic development around the world. In every chapter of his life, Darren has stepped up in moments of challenge, delivering real results where they mattered most.

Today, he’s committed to bringing that same real-world leadership home—to rebuild opportunity, strengthen communities, and secure a better future for families across our region.

Rooted in Ohio, Built to Serve

Darren’s journey began in Wayne County, Ohio, where hard work and integrity weren’t just value.  They were a way of life. He attended vocational school at the Wayne County Schools Career Center, gaining hands-on experience in the skilled trades. These early foundations instilled in him a lifelong commitment to workforce development and the creation of high-paying jobs in emerging industries.

He went on to earn both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Akron, where he became known for advocating smart infrastructure and evidence-based policy. His early leadership in student government and public affairs earned him recognition as Ohio’s Graduate Student of the Year. During this time, he also worked with the Ohio Department of Public Safety and published three technical papers focused on motorcycle and driver safety.

Military & Public Service: Defending American Interests

Three weeks after the 9/11 attacks, Darren left college after his first semester to enlist in the Ohio Air National Guard Reserve, where he served for six years and rose to the rank of Technical Sergeant.  During his time in the Air Guard, he served as a Utilitiesman and supplemental Military Police, winning Airman of the Year and completing multiple deployments, including border patrol operations along the U.S.–Mexico border in Arizona.

Darren completed both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees before commissioning as an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he proudly led the first Seabee construction detachment assigned to Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) in the Horn of Africa. His service took him to forward-operating environments across Africa and the Middle East, helping stabilize regions through infrastructure and economic investment.

Following his overseas service, Darren oversaw sustainment operations for all U.S. Navy bases in the National Capital Region including hospitals, airports, research labs, and military housing. During the tragic mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, he played a key role in the tactical response, securing the installation and helping save lives. For his actions, he received a letter of commendation from the Secretary of the Navy.

Darren comes from a long, proud tradition of military service.  He is the seventh generation of his family to serve in the U.S. military, tracing his lineage back to the founding of the United States.  His public service career reflects a deep commitment to national security, first responder readiness, and protecting American lives.  Values that continue to shape his policy priorities today.

Policy & Public Engagement

Darren has served as an advisor and working group member across multiple U.S. presidential administrations, helping shape national policy on infrastructure, defense, and economic development. His experience includes:

  • International relations and strategy under the Trump Administration (2017–2021)

  • National security initiatives under the Biden Administration (2021–2025)

  • Ongoing working group participation under the current Trump Administration (2025–Present)

As a recognized thought leader, Darren has shared his expertise on global competition, sustainable development, and American strategy at leading institutions including the United Nations General Assembly, Cambridge University, King’s College London, and Georgetown University.

Civic Leadership: A Voice for the Community

In Ohio, Darren has continued to lead from the ground up:

  • Human Relations Commission Co-Chair – Advocated for equal opportunity, fair housing, and workforce development.

  • Policy Advisor & Regional Strategist – Collaborated with local officials and community leaders to drive practical, actionable economic revitalization.

  • Interfaith Liaison – As part of an interfaith family, Darren has worked to bridge divides and promote shared civic values across religious communities.

Building the Future Through Business and Investment

Today, Darren runs a private company that builds infrastructure, strengthens America's energy security, and supports national security. Under his leadership, the company has grown into a trusted operator.  Delivering real-world results in some of the most challenging environments around the world.

He also serves on the investment committee of a multi-billion-dollar private fund based in Washington, D.C., where his team leads investment sourcing and oversees the implementation of projects in infrastructure, production inputs, and financial rails critical to America's future.

Through these efforts, Darren continues to put real-world experience into action—building the projects, partnerships, and opportunities that fuel economic growth and national strength.

A Family Man & Community Leader

Darren lives in Northwest Ohio with his wife and children. He’s a proud father, husband, veteran, business owner, and builder—driven to create a future where families are safer, stronger, and proud to call this community home.

"I’m not a politician. I’m from the working class.

I’ve built businesses, led in combat zones, and created jobs—but most importantly, I’ve never forgotten where I come from.

We deserve a leader who works for the people—not for special interests, and not for Washington."
